Chapter 1

Darkness closed around engulfing the young girl standing in the middle of the room. She stared at her teddy bear which was stained and felt something sticky. She noticed the bloodshot red color on her hands and around her. The girl tightly hugged her bear as she walked past the lifeless dolls that lay on the ground in the hallway.

"Young lady, is that you?" A man covered in the same red as the room came running towards the girl. "Oh thanks the stars you're alive. You must get away from here and hide."

He grabbed her hand and began to pull her towards the door, away from the foul smell of corpses and into the deadly silent night. The girl pulled away and smiles as she reached out with her hand...

Adria woke up as the bus jerked to a halt. The bus driver cussed aloud at the motorcyclist, who suddenly came onto the bus lane. 

"Gosh can't they drive more pleasantly." My best friend Clementine got a tissue and attempted to remove her lipstick which made her look like the Joker. 

Adria looked at her friend. Clementine was dressed nicely today for her presentation in Speech. "Maybe you shouldn't get up so late and then take another 10 minutes to choose an outfit." 

Clementine looks at me shocked, "Honey, your outfit represents who you are. It's how people judge you. Partially at first." She begins to reapply her lipstick again. 

"Right..." Adria mutters as she looks about the window. She wondered what that dream was all about. The place was unfamiliar to her yet that man... where had she seen him?

Adria continued to look out the window as they entered school grounds. Though the buses themselves were crappy, the school was considered one of the top schools. It was an five story building with each floor for one grade level. The ground floor was the common ground though. This year they would be in the fourth floor. They would stay here til the end of school year.

As the bus pulled to a stop, Adria noticed her other classmates getting off their buses. "Oh great." She muttered under her breath. Clementine looked at her and then looked out the window confusingly. As they got off the bus, Adria tried to rush Clementine into the building.

"Hello darlings." A girl yelled out to them. 

Her group of friends giggled. They all looked like Barbie dolls with heavy makeup and fancy outfits. The girl that spoke out wore a white summer dress with high heels though she was still the shortest even with them on.

Clementine put on her nice smile, "Oh hey Alison. I see you still haven't grown much." 

"Oh honey, I..." Alison was stopped as her and Adria were knocked over by a towhead guy with dirty sports jacket and sweat pants. 

He growled at Adria as he walked by, "Move it b***h." He stormed past them and into the school. 

"Hey you alright?" A boy with warm brown hair asked Adria. He held out his hand to help, Adria ignored the hand and stood up.

"I'm fine, thanks." She said coolly. 

Adria brushed herself off and Alison looked at the brown haired boy with a bit of drool coming out of the corners of her mouth. He was at least 6 feet tall and wore the latest style of clothing. 

"Keep your animal in check, Ronan." Adria said with a hint of malice.

Ronan smirked, "Don't be so quick to insult Evan. I'll see you around." He walked off in the general direction Evan had gone to.

Alison blinked as for she was confused and picked herself up. She awkwardly walked back to her friends and left. 

"Well... That was weird." Clementine states as the bell rings. "Oh s**t we're late! Come on!" She grabbed Adria's hand and pulled her inside.

Adria and Clementine rushed into the gym where the kids were in line to receive their schedules. They walked over to the junior line and waited. 

"Oh yeah Adria you wanna come over today? I can teach you some makeup techniques." Clementine smiled and added her puppy eyes. "Please?" 

Adria sighed and shook her head. "Sorry, not today." 

Clementine frowns but is interrupted by someone behind her telling her to move forward. She turned dramatically and hopped over to the front of the table.

"Name." The girl asked without even glancing up.

"Clementine Bloom." 

The girl shuffled through the paper and pulled one out with a set of keys. "Here you go you're in room 16 on the Eastern side. You're bags will be there when you get to your dorm. Next!"

"Adria Cadwell."

A look of recognition and shock flashed across the girl's face but she retained her blank expression. "Here you go you're also in room 16 on the Eastern side."

Adria frowns in confusion as she takes the paper and the key. 

Clementine jumps up and down as they walk up the stairs. "Yay we're roomies again. So what's your first class?"

"Human anatomy." Says Adria as she looks at her schedule, "You?"

"Same!!! Let's go!" Clementine grabs her hand again and drags her across the hallway. Adria shakes her head as she smiles. Suddenly her dream flashes back to her and she trips startled near the stairs. Someone breaks her fall.

"Woah you okay? You almost died there." 

Clementine rushed down the stairs, "Oh my gosh Adria are you okay? What happened?" 

Adria staggered as she tried to stand up. "I don't know." She turns towards the person who caught her. "Thanks... Ronan?" 

Ronan flashes her a smile that could blow away so many girls. "Hey." He suddenly turns serious, "You sure you're okay? You sorta had a tumble before I caught you." 

"I'm fine." Adria takes a step forward and notices a man standing at the top of the stairs. Something about him looked familiar. She gasped and fell back again, her head began to black out as she felt dizziness and Darkness take over. 

"Ad..a... A.r.." The words began to slur and it sounded like a broken cassette recording.

"Yo....saf...."
