ah the blasted luck!

ah the blasted luck!

A Poem by jinjahman

ah the blasted luck

ah the blasted luck

what have I done to deserve

such blasted luck?

every switch
every wall
every inched turn
every squall

such blasted luck

out of the water
into the fire
out of the woods
into the mire

such blasted bleedin' luck

what a swizz
why the cut
broken dreams
living in a hut

ah the blasted bleedin' luck of it all

my toe dipped
my foot slipped
my eye pierced
and wings clipped

for what now then
Bad Luck Zen
can basalt figures do
about slight sniggers

when they emanate from the
other side of the face?
they grin open a can
and spray their mace
in my gnarled and chewed
corrosively blasted luck, screwed.

I drift away from port
and sail away on luck's wind.
Blasted wind!
