Traipsing

Traipsing

A Poem by jinjahman

traipsing through the dirt
looking at the stars
I fell down
I felt tired
The ounce of energy had gone
the sugar not sweet

my doors were closed
my eyes wide
the silt was soot
 and the silt was hot
my feet
my cheek
my feeble feat

the cornerstone
of this poem
lies in the phrase
"je nes se pas"
.
