Our Soul's Window Pane

Our Soul's Window Pane

A Poem by jinjahman

As was favourable son
elected to the night's
slipping and sliding
I gathered stalks of innocence
unnoticed
and passed yon
to peel the crumbs of blessed
tunes and hues
and feature my smile anon,

cracking at the hips of
the waitress from eternity
plying trade in sugar hearts
poured over desserts aplenty

were you my apperitif?
or were you my serf?

could we meet in person
person to person?

could we exchange
our medals, our scars
our code untouched,
but turbo driven by time;

the inexorable beast that pushes
us towards our boundary,
our soul's window pane?

This is wonderful! It flows beautifully and the words all seem to fall exactly where they belong.
