Numb Drive

Numb Drive

A Poem by jinjahman

I am the dust
I will be searched

I am the source
I will spill forth

now and again

I am clouds of thunder,
in one drop

I am that drop
in an ocean filled under.

I am an ocean,
sweat and tears all asunder

hear my thunderous crying
when I wake from a dream
torn from the sky
ripped from dawn's tight lid.

~

I'd rather be
burnt in the light,
swathed in the sunshine
that you bring me at night

than be broken down
and in need of a hug sandwich

on the outskirts of
a town called Numb
on the frontiers of loneliness

my melancholy machine oiled
melancholy's drive begun
my melancholy steered this way.
delving THiS way then THaT!

This is a very strong piece from your pen, filled with cadences, word play which enhance the emotions strongly felt.
