Whose Apple?

Whose Apple?

A Poem by jinjahman

~You and I.

* * Who I See:

the doe-eyed and the much missed
the trailer and the plastic couch
the fork the road enlists
the fit freak and the potato slouch

~The I with the You, seen anew.

* * Who You Hear:

The majority and the push
The cast and The One
Adrenaline and the rush
Slurpy soup and a bun
Pirate chemistry in reverie
Crumbling walls around a dying tree

~The You and the I, hear a cry.

* * Who We Feel:

My God and your God's child
The sun's blast and the moon's hug
A hazel bush and garlic wild
The wooden bench and the pattern rug..

Where we sit and chew
on The Apple, to its core.
