The Swan Flap

The Swan Flap

A Poem by jinjahman

The swan flapped on the water.
everyone's heart rose.
It was unofficially a sign of spring.
the details were invisible in the air
or against the skin,
yet they were present in the smell and
longing odour of the wiley winds of today.

Oh a swan... sigh! It's been too long since I saw swans fly over my head and your poem has brought that image back to me. It wasn't at Coole... but one day.
Just beautiful, J-man
