Green River

Green River

A Poem by jinjahman
"

lyrics to a song I just wrote. I'd love people's thoughts

"

Standing at the bank
of the green river
on its way to lost sea

I paced all about
looking for a sign
I could take to soothe me

And if its fast
I'll stand up straight
And if its slow
Then I'll not wait

Landing the great fish
of the green river
on its way back home

I chanced I would ask -
looking for a sign -
for old wisdom softly..

And if its fast
I'll hear it straight
And if it's slow
I'll hook new bait

Freedom in the flowing
Freedom in the knowing
Old wisdom now for sharing
Our Kingdom's hour despairing

looking forward to listening to its tune. I imagine it to be sung to strums of a solo six string
