Hope that broke my heart

Hope that broke my heart

A Poem by jinjahman
"

Hope pondering at the edges

"
The harbour broke my heart.
Looking back at the bobbing
mystery dancing before eye
swimming in the jet past hope.

Hope that broke my heart.
Tracing an image of cellophane
pierced at the moon's centre
skimming the stone's deep trough

Unlimited in gravity.
Suspending hope's peak
dancing at curly twilight
sucking me into a vortex blue

Forever leaving
never arriving
always being;
a wish away,
awash without,
gone astray.

Very mysterious to me. An enigma.

'an image of cellophane...' I love that idea. This one is very beautiful, J-man.

.
. hope is a measure of the reciprocation that the universe owes us ... we tend not to give it its due ... nevertheless ... this is a brilliant piece of writing with some really unique images and word play ...
