Ask Of Autumn

Ask Of Autumn

A Poem by jinjahman
"

Summer usually introduces Autumn; now I have the privilege!

"
More and more
The oranged builder gapes
At bills where swans
Did nest
Chalices did rest
Before

What stupidity lacks
Is not a buried wisdom
Stacked above on gazillions
Of pre-destined natural events

But instead
The wet air in the leaves
The rustle
Anxious jostle
To gain some progress
In some fashion
But.. can't fashion the
Inescapable awesomeness
In the Mother's Arena
Outside of my
(gazillionously)Tiny season-dyed street.

Contemplate : :
there is no substitute,
for when
senses tickle me
Universes collide with
such black spin

I'm thrust in pocket deep
Mortally coiled

From wicked Winter
To fickle Spring
Through sultry Summer
We ask of autumn once again
Go easy
Like you are
On the minds eye

Simply superb. One of my faves of yours, I think (but there are so many). I love the seasonal changes so much, and love to read how people from different parts describe them.

The way you surrender yourself to such a force is such a beautiful thing.

To be honest, I feel like there would be a lot of people who may not get this fully because of its construction; my self included. But to me, it is the attempt at the documentation that serves as the message. To me, the way you seemed to have let the words flow as they must have in the inception of the piece conveys the fine line between being accepting and being overwhelmed. And the last few lines seems to streamline everything as if it is trying to make sense of this quiet chaos. It also seems to say--"this is it, this is what I have to say and I can live with it." As someone who tries to write, I envy that. =)

Personally, I think that the third stanza is a bit confusing but then again, that may only be because I am reading it wrong. And perhaps, if you tweak it a little, it will lose the charm. So, to each his/her own.

Nevertheless, it is a pretty good write up. Thank you for that.

This is nice. The visual images are vivid.

Oh yes! Quite the write!! The whole poem was lovely, and I especially like how you wrapped it at the end with time-less-ness.
