Cruisin' For Allusion

Cruisin' For Allusion

A Poem by jinjahman
"

abstract vision of activity whilst sittin' in armchair conjur-typing

"
buzzin' like
butter melting
on carpet soul - trill tail

trippin' like
a drunken hound
down on scratchpad - avenue blue

chirpin' like
a bird caged in
calisthenic irony - beaky baby

still water
gurglin' in a fountain
somewhere over - jungle swingin'

pickin' up the pieces
fillin' out the lease of
life left on the kerb of distraction

two feet up
to the guy in the sky.
cracked nail
cruisin'
for
allusion

forgive the excessive gerund with apostrophe, e.g chirpin' etc.

Each image kind of crystallizes on its own but the it all comes together, as a wonderfully abstract whole. Good work as always.
