Heaven's Door

Heaven's Door

A Poem by Jim of Earth
"

Follow the path, see the beauty.

"
Panoramic window gazing
crystal sky at splendid heights
evokes the wind of inspiration
a kaleidoscope of city lights

Silken cotton downy pillows
shining rainbow bridges gleam
luscious hues of emerald pastures
seas of wildflowers daring dreams

Do all roads lead to heaven?
broken, paved, or overgrown
barter terms of fate’s surrender
amending contracts set in stone

internal clock strikes time uncertain
weathered clouds spread paper thin
hymnal choir's final curtain
forgiving all exposed to sin

believe the hype amidst the throes
blessed be what comes before
brainstorms viewed in picture windows
return to earth through heaven’s door

Liked the imagery here, also the well managed meter. The tone is hopeful, and by Heaven, we do need that.
