I Trusted You
A Poem by Jheart
I Trusted You
I was only a child, looking for love. The kind that a parent should show. You gave me your touch, although the wrong kind, but how is a child supposed to know?
I gave you my trust, believing inside, You'd always be there for me. Any time you came close, I thought it was love, What else could it possibly be?
Do you know what you did? Can you fathom the thought? How you left me grieving, Angry, distraught....
How can I know when to trust anymore, Is that what I was supposed to learn? To be wary of everyone, see ulterior motives. Expecting for life to get burned?
With help I will get through this horrible time, No thanks to you for sure, Hopefully one day I'll trust again, Until then I still seek the cure.
