KOMEO-The Author Tells His Story-A Jimmy Nuzz Novel

The novel I have written (KOMEO), and lucky for me I have it all wrote down in first draft before deciding to go from long hand to digital for sending it to a  publisher for reading. While editing, proofreading, and almost rewriting the whole first draft story for publication. I'll get right into it, I mean what lead up to my writing about Komeo, and who the man was. I was working on another novel of another true person originally anyway. The other person I also knew. A person which grew up learning the mortuary profession through his families business, and was perhaps a slightly slow, semi-mildly autistic person. In his own right had an intelligence beyond anything I could understand despite his physical appearance. This man would show me pictures. These photo's were of corpse's before and after embalming, and make-up. I mean, this guy had pictures of real dead people who went through horrific car crashes, and after pictures looking like their in graduation photos. My love affair for writing a fictional novel began after meeting this person almost forty years ago. The story I am building is fantastic. The title was my toughest part to come up with at the time. Beginning the story came easy for some reason. I wanted to call it M & M Murders, and everything like Mortuary Murders, but the M&M had it covered. The new title will be named the same, when this book project; KOMEO is finished. I am currently 30 thousand words into MORTUARY Murder. Allow me to delve more into KOMEO now. I changed the EVENTUAL idea for another one that persisted out of the clear blue sky. KOMEO merely developed, and the writing took off, so I kept on going with the flow.

KOMEO was also a real person which used to roam our neighborhood streets living like a pauper. A trash picker, a bum, or a neighborhood garbage picker which smelled as bad as a dead fish, or rotting garbage at the bottom of your trash can after weeks in the sun. Yes I based KOMEO on a trash picker. I used to torment this old man as a kid. I would climb his roof, throw stones at him. And I was basically a rotten kid harassing the hell out of our neighborhood garbage picker. Embarrassing to admit it, but I believe I have to be honest here.

KOMEO, had a distinct look about him. He had a handmade pushcart, wore the same dirty clothes year round. Smelled bad, I mentioned that, and if anyone came close to KOMEO, he yelled "Get away", "Get out of here" and "leave me alone" or something to that effect. As a kid, I thought KOMEO was a fascination person to watch. I got a little carried away, almost like a stalker by today's standards. But back then, looking back even now...I was a rotten kid for tormenting the old man. I thought it was a turn on, being nine, or ten years old, it was totally adolescent behavior.

I think what happened is while writing EVENTUAL, I got sidetracked. I wasn't happy with my title idea any longer, so I moved on. This KOMEO novel took over my personality for some reason. I couldn't help but make KOMEO into a serial mass murderer and a cannibal. [I believe I made it up in my head years ago as an imaginative kid]. But I did it, I wrote KOMEO. The novel starts out as himself, a junk collector ( I don't know where the nickname KOMEO came from ), and would eventually attract attention of a neighborhood block watcher, Newsman who thinks KOMEO is full of it, and faking being a pauper bag-man. Newsman thinks KOMEO is a hoarder with money, and is actually up to no good. He says "I know he is up to something" The Newsman who accidentally...so he says, or thinks he did. And thinking his eyes were plating tricks on him. Seen KOMEO dump another body out of his box cart, while Newsman was fixing his post of his fence one afternoon. We all know what and where Newsman was going with this, he was suspicious of KOMEO, and when he thought his eyes were playing tricks on him again. The Newsman set up a lookout post by converting his garage attic window into his personal watch tower to spy on KOMEO who lived behind Newsman's house.

Anyway, that's basically how the story starts out. Newsman is an ex-journalist, a crime fighting journalist to boot. A neurotic, and one very paranoid person on top of everything else, because Newsman believes he tried telling everyone that KOMEO was up to no good. Newsman was writing everything Komeo was up to in his journals, and actually searched inside KOMEO'S garage. The cops, well Newsman thinks the cops are after him. And for good reason, KOMEO vanishes right after the Newsman calls the cops. But come to find out...KOMEO secretly had been using an underground tunnel system to commit mass murder, and has been a cannibal all along. Newsman is still under suspicion, only because of...in his mind, for not calling the cops earlier. Newsman follows KOMEO from town to town, (chapter after chapter) with information by his informant, and the cops can't figure out what Newsman is doing this for, and keep telling him he is going to get himself killed.

Now, KOMEO escapes in every chapter.  Newsman makes it his mission to track KOMEO down by searching where ever he goes, KOMEO is a maniac committing  horrific crimes, and Newsman brainwashes himself, that he wants to capture KOMEO, but in reality is only interested in writing his journal of a serial cannibal mass murderer. Even coming too close for comfort in one chapter. And Newsman believes KOMEO lets him live to plat a game of cat and mouse with him. Scared as a rabbit, Newsman is still possessed and can't give up searching for KOMEO. The guy is a nut job, the cops get sick and tired of the Newsman, and even his buddies think he thinks he is some kind of cop,  or who is dangerously close to getting himself killed. This is a book you will put down, and can't wait to pick up ans start reading more.

Did I say too little, or not clear enough, well what ever I said so far as too much and too bad for you. . You'll have to read about it...KOMEO.

Right now I am into my third chapter, I had it already written. And glad I do, I really didn't expect to be modifying this as much, but I'll even admit...today I thought my editing almost collapsed, I caught it right at the right moment...what a relief that was. Overkill can make an original story into no mans land, and rewriting is a b***h. We Will do it, it's what we do, but I am eager to get on with. Either I write another KOMEO, because...the secret...I let Newsman, not say where KOMEO is...so to speak without giving the end totally away. Maybe I'll write KOMEO II, while working on EVENTUAL.

Either way, once I am done with writing creepy, dark scary written stuff. Which by the way, I gave myself the creeps while writing some scenes. After thought, which comes in handy as an author. In case there are thoughts you want to edit in  later, or to improve a paragraph, and maybe  a sentence  or two, or even a segment here and there in a chapter. That same after thought got me one day. I was writing one of my gore paragraphs. On my way home I got the creeps thinking about it. Now that I though was a good thing. If my audience does that, I think it's a pretty good novel. That's what we all shoot for isn't it...to be remembered.

After I get my mystery, scary B/S out of the way to, be an author. I plan on taking up writing children stories, to be remembered as one of the new millennium's best. When I get into it...look out. That's all I have to say.

Well, I hope I have promoted KOMEO well enough for my readers tonight. For now you'll have to wait until it's finished. I am taking one chapter per week to my surprise. This modification/polish editing works everything out, but it's a slow process. It feels nice to be involved with my novel, and the KOMEO novel will turn out good. And that said. Well, writers, and an audience full of friends. It's 9:55 PM on a Wednesday, a September 17, 2014 evening well spent with you by sending you my message. Go to my orientation thinking to follow along with me on my progress writing KOMEO. 'Be immune to rumor" Jimmy Nuzz

Never underestimate the ordinary person walking around on the street. One day, there will come a time, and once in a blue moon a person such as myself is coming around to the fact that fame is inevitable for me at any age. It's not that it's impossible. It just takes longer for some of us to achieve. Keep your eye on the prize.                   'Be immune to rumor' Jimmy Nuzz----------10/1/2014 a Wednesday 10:52 PM----------JN

I wanted to wait on improving this until the KOMEO starts winding down to the ending. I promise no one will be disappointed with it. 'Be immune to rumor' Jimmy Nuzz 10/7/2014
