                               LOST MARINA

Our brief history of a life torn by daily mental abuse by a disgruntled member of a modest family. A daily reminder of a broken spirit, and on the rebound by another love, feeling rekindled, and ending in more tragedy with a families fortune lost to the sea. Daily, Mary just believed she knew too much, which wasn't doing her any good. Our story is surrounded in dramatic events too un-explainable in her life. Mary and her mental abuses. Over looking a seascape teaming with boaters with visitors even taking photographs of the scenery. Not for the beauty, but as a lasting log of a time lost. In the summer, and then start of the boating and fishing season along the east coast. Avid fisherman, and sight seers were drawn together, eating lobster rolls, and drinking until late at night. People from all walks of life living it up by the sea, and enjoying themselves on the seemingly expensive area of the coast. Three brothers, Adam, Jake, and Clyde Turner ran almost everything on the marina. Mary their only sister, and because they were all nice on the outside for appearances. Her three brothers were all short of being driven crazy over a tragic boating accident. Of no fault on their own, the only reason the four were still alive and well, is they decided to stay behind on shore during a horrific storm one evening. The brothers all have one thing in common, they had to share the top floor of the old living section above the marina. Mary lived in a secluded part of their property away from sight of the common area on the marina. After a tragic accident which left her devastated, and really suspicious of one  brother in particular, Clyde. For no apparent reason, it was him who managed to convince every one else to stay ashore on the day of a hurricane. Not knowing the real reason at the time,  Mary soon became very afraid of Clyde afterward. The three brothers lived and worked at the marina with their mother and father. Mary never lived at home, she liked to drift the south coast, and lived like a modern day hippy. Growing up, Mary didn't want anything to do with the smell of fish, and boats. She didn't like salt water, and took off to find her own way through life.

Adam being the oldest made a decision, when Mary would return to live at the family town home their parents once stayed. Adam and his two brothers, Jake and Clyde must live above the bait and tackle store year round, but if Mary was to settle in with them after the accident. Mary and Jake ended up running the Lobster Shack sea food restaurant during fishing season. Everything was left up to Jake, all the family decisions were under his control, and Mary would never actually work at the bait and tackle store. She was only to pick up supplies through Jake, and to run the food stand. On the off season, Mary did what ever she wanted, as long as it was off the Marina property. Mary will receive a share of the profit as a supplement income, and every piece of property was paid for. Her share was for things like electric, and travel during the winter months, if that is what she wanted to do. Adam was in charge of the family estate, Jake and Clyde along with Mary were in total agreement, but disappointed at the terms. Clyde on the other hand argued the whole plan against his brothers idea constantly. Especially due to the fact which Mary has the house payment free. Their family business was doing well for all four, but Clyde felt short changed. Clyde was not favored as a close relative, because of not being known for his niceness at all. The others tried to console him with no avail since Clyde was young. Clyde had an evil streak running through his veins, and was just a rotten kid. Not her other two brothers though, at least not Jake by a long shot. Adam and Mary always believed Clyde was responsible for the accident which killed their parents.

As always, their parents would take their boat out during a bad storm, to teach their children safe boating. The family had gotten to the point where going out on a storm was family tradition. Sadly their parents drowned in an unlikely life rafting accident. The two drowned, but although the local police declared bad weather being the causing factor. The raft was tied to a line which was connected between a pole feet away from shore, and to their fishing boat only feet away. They were separated from the safety line while pulling themselves towards the boat before the storm got heavy. The raft was supposedly taken under by a wave surge before reaching the end of the line to climb aboard  the boat to safety. They supposedly were taken out to sea, and the natural rock break waters tore up the life raft with them still clinging for dear life. Still not believing in those circumstances, and an unlikely accident isn't fooling Mary at all, not in the least bit no matter what the police have said about what they think happened.

Only if it wasn't for remembering her parents would have survived, knowing their excellent swimmers, and expert boaters. Their not victims of an unfortunate accident by the storm surge alone, as people make it seem. A strong under current past the break waters, were  where their bodies were found washed up. It just seemed too far fetched for Mary to believe it happened like that. Mary has been on the fishing boat many times since she was a little girl. Not comfortable with salt water, Mary recently replaced the safety line before hearing of the storm coming earlier in the season. A brand new nylon rope, just before this coming storm because of it. All their lives, Clyde has always felt left out from every thing, and expressed feelings of being abandoned by us in his mind. It made him feel better believing we disowned him some how during growing up. Clyde never got anything, Clyde never had nothing, we got everything. To him, it was as if we were treating him like an outsider within  our family all the time. Clyde probably felt he never got anything, because Clyde never appreciated life. Its Clyde had life long dramatic speach he dwells on, and will tell it to anyone who will listen. At any moment, Clyde will break out in a big story how we all hated him, we are no good, and which we all did this to him. None of us want to bother talking to Clyde, because he is so predictable in every way. As for the family fortune is concerned. A windfall after the deaths, came the life insurance money. Being their only daughter, I was left with every thing. Willing to share equally, but Clyde being such a hateful person. Adam and Jake are keeping a close eye on him, hoping to keep Clyde calm. Because of Clyde, its no wonder we hate it here now that our parents are dead.

After their parents passed away, the rest of the family virtually fell apart. Jake and Mary tried feverishly to keep up appearances of the marina. Jake made the best of the bait and tackle business. Worked hard at bringing in more boaters. Mary ran the Lobster Shack with a smile on her face everyday. Every day it seemed to be going well for the marina. Adam is the golden boy, and is acting on his older brother instincts as usual. Jake is also golden with the idea of Clyde helping out around the boat yard, at least for now. Clyde is cunning, and evil minded like he always has been, and they were used to ignoring him. Which is why Clyde is out in the boat yard. To keep him away from customers, and never close enough for talking to strangers. Because any person which has as much hate as him, could have knocked that pole on its side. Then slipped the nylon rope loop off over the top end. Clyde is an expert diver, and an excellent swimmer. None of us would have missed that trip with our parents, if it had not been for Clyde. Nothing about this accident makes any sense in the least. We all knew our parents liked an adventure of riding out a storm, we have done this dozens of times together. Clyde came up with excuse for keeping on shore, and we stayed behind to watch over him. We never trusted Clyde, or never can tell what if anything he would do alone on the marina. So we stayed behind on this trip, there was still time left in the season for another one. This was more important than partying out by the break waters.

Mary also has the feeling of being all alone, she doesn't have to say it, but I know we think alike. The atmosphere never seemed as quiet like it is this fishing season as it does. The boating crowd can be unforgiving at a marina. They trust their expensive boats are being taken care of, and secure here during, and after the fishing season. These particular people can be heard spreading rumor, with Mary having to listen to it all day, while working at the food court window. People can be ruthless, especially once strangers grab hold of stories. Mostly by the locals talking up rumor with out of towner's; total strangers are blood thirsty for any dirt the can bring home. Mary was going out of her mind, and some were talking in the same lines like she thought. How this was not really an accident, and greed, and family fighting, and on and on. All kinds of made up stories were flying around. These people waiting in line to order food, and sound as if their watching a soap opera in their heads. Everything they could imagine, except that this could have been an accident. Mary couldn't help filling in the blanks she was hearing of course. She even heard death threats on Clyde coming through the long lines. By that, Mary knew there will be a day, which the police will be snooping around, and spying on them for a logical motive on what really happened. The feeling of a detective might be waiting in line, and no one would ever know it. Listening to the crowd, and watching the expressions on Mary's face. Mary would turn up the music just loud enough to drown out her thoughts, and block off all the rumor driving her crazy.  Only if a person wasn't a regular, and seemed to be from another state. Mary would sometimes enter into a conversation for entertainment. Blend in while they were waiting for their food to be ready, against her better judgment though. Only if the person had a rumor to about the accident, Mary tried not to, but her curiosity got the best of her.

Mary, finally turned off by the locals spreading false rumors, and also bitter because of other family circumstances. Its not that Mary had any choice, she didn't ask for all those images going through her mind, it happened. Now she was ready to let a total stranger to enter into her life. A drifter with roaming blood by nature. Her thinking was is the mood for meeting a new person, now at the height of the boating season while visitors from out of state were high. Mary knew this thought was a way to help herself, she couldn't get used to the vomit coming from the locals mouths any much longer, it was time for a break from all of that. An occasional sit down with a new face, any stranger just wouldn't do. Mary wanted refreshing  faces, and to give her a moment of peace to think things through. A few times, it gave her a chance to tell the real side of the tale. To get a check on herself, and feel fine with what happened, even if it meant talking about it to dull the horrible experience. A stranger was the best medicine, Mary knew they wouldn't meet again. It was the perfect escape, and the way she preferred it. The story; a family secret no one knew well except Mary. Talking with anyone different was her peace. Mary couldn't resist a person which resembled anyone military. A true gut feeling hit her emotions seeing a soldier standing down by the pier. Mary knew her insides were showing her the way to trust people of past instinct. Mary made up her mind to make a run for this guy right away. This was her chance in the making, a new shot at a relationship she so desperately needed.

To let go of the tensions, and be surprised by a total stranger couldn't have come at a better time. Which this man caught her eye, and feeling will do wonders in her life. The new challenge is in Mary for being free from anguish and despair all the time. A pink outfit and jeans will do it, she wore them for luck. For luck paid off one day while working at the Lobster Shack. When the clean shaven stranger she seen, spotted her looking in his direction. The smell of salt water, and by seeing people in lone ordering sea food. The soldier walked across the hot gravel and blistering sun, the stranger wandered over to the stand for a closer look at Mary. Mary knew this man was a veteran by his straight face, and the way he walked. A serious look, an expression of his being alone n the world was written on his face. He seemed to be alone, and at the marina just checking boats and watching the locals at what their doing. Checking out the locals with crab nets catching blue crabs along the dock poles on the piers. The soldier asked Mary how many times, what they were catching, she knew he was shy and what he was doing. Another loner drifting and looking for company, but no one gave him any attention, only Mary from behind the counter.

Mary knew a veteran can understand suspicion, and in general mistrust of people. Her own father was in the marines, and knew how they behave. No matter how close people are, a vet can disconnect on a spur of the moment for mere survival. Not even a family member could detect a person who used to being in combat, if the soldier knew how to hide the feelings well. Military are used to seeing innocence die in people. Mary knew this fellow was searching for a real friendly face to talk, and someone to meet, and be nice to. Mary knew too well her cynical side, and looking herself for the right person to possibly take home. That one chance for a real relationship, with the same deep desire for closeness, was waiting in her line to order. In the back of her mind she was still day dreaming, perhaps hoping later for a deep conversation. Only if the soldier wanders in, and orders food again. Knowing exactly what to do, Mary waited for the right moment. Things have a way for working out on their own, Mary has a hunch mother nature would take its course, she wanted to ask about him, to talk and just hoped he would walk up ad say hello to her.

Mary isn't waiting any longer, she had to attract his attention some how. He has been showing up every day, but seems too shy or something. With her new fortune, and living virtually all alone is about to come to an end, and Mary knew it. Mary has an eye on her knight, the handsome soldier was coming up to the line, and was next. Mary waited what seemed like forever for this moment, and planned on him coming up to the counter for lunch. Way off base, but right at the sight of meeting him again. Mary started flirting for the first time in years. Time has held her back for the right moment. Today Mary is making her move by leaning over to take his order, her pink shirt exposing a glow by everything hanging down at the soldier. Mary played herself well, making twinkles with her eye contact. A slight tilt with her head, a timed just right smile, while in the meantime she already had his favorite order made up, fresh and hot.

Too busy watching what was going on, and a serious zoned out look on his face . He never even noticed Mary leaning over being her best to look cute. Mary thought after seeing this, he was the one for her for sure. Her head was spinning in twenty direction trying to come up with something to say quick. Mary wanted to engage the conversation with Alan, the chance to reel him in back to earth. Mary played him well when she said " hello Alan." Stunned, the soldier asked her how she knew his name. "I make it my business to know who is at my marina Alan Kerns" Mary handed him his order, and remarked, " Its fresh and hot just waiting for you" Breaking cherry for Mary was a victory lap just waiting to happen. She was bursting with joy over saying hello to Allan. When he came back for seconds, saying " Hello Mary Turner, I'll take another order of your fried clams please" And that was the moment when love filled the salt air coastal waters, all the way out to sea and back. At the marina, Mary and Allan hit it off immediately. Mary made one more order of fried clams to join her new soldier friend, Allan for dinner. Mary had conveniently just happened to have a couple of bottles of red wine for the meet up. Bottles of nice old wine she was saving for a special day.

The two sat together listening to sixties music for hours. Mary picked up the volume exactly where Allan was sitting before. A perfect spot on a picnic table under an umbrella in the shade. Love is in the air now, two hearts ready to be united as one. After Allan saying hello, it was on between them. After finishing eating and drinking, and getting closer enjoying each others company. Both of them made out a little bit, something which just happened naturally, and what else. The two ending the night, sitting near the edge of a dock kissing some more. Mary and her bitterness she held was almost forgotten being near Allan. Allan left his mental visions of combat behind him feeling closer to Mary that afternoon. A pair of white swans floated by, and nirvana lit up their feelings brighter than the moon light. The night flew by, the morning light was starting to show along the seas horizon. They were like two teenagers kissing in love, the early dawn light came quick and so Allan mentioned with hand gestures on Mary. If she would like it, why not get a room along the shore together to get to know each other in a more comfortable place. Mary suggested her place for something really relaxing, and a few more drinks.

Allan knew buy now what  Mary was doing, being in a state of fog, Allan agreed on her idea. By listening for a solid answer, seeing we are on my marina, will you accompany me to my town house for a weekend. Allan knew this was too good to be true, and this is what he has been looking for since being home away from war. A place to settle  down, and relax for a while. He finally feels his peace of mind, and it didn't matter how direct Mary is being. This time he is all in with the new friendship. Mary smiled as she stood up,and suggested they can order in, the line cook takes orders from me anytime. Allan  Kerns was a bit taken back, and flabbergasted by all this. A woman who can give the orders appealed to him, he was impressed with her wealth as well. Allan was numb with joy, and felt only the love he has found in the short time being with Mary. Sinking into  falling for her, and Mary was on the same page with him. Straight from the heart, they had with open arms for each other. It became their wonderland, a dream come true. Finally the two have met their soul mates.

A chance to move on for a new beginning. A time to forget for now, and feel something alive inside again. Someone to love and nurture. The soldier my dad would have approved of me knowing. A reason to go on has finally arrived first class. Adam turner the older brother has also found a strong emotional bond with an old flame again. Almost at the same moment, which was astonishing to his sister when the two met up later. They talked about  their two younger brothers, knew there had to be making adjustments to the living arrangements.

For Adam Turner, his first true love came back to him out of the clear blue sky. A girl from his teenage  days, when they used to see each other in town and hooked up now and then. Melinda Crowley came by the bait shop for a chat, she knew the marina well enough not to be nervous. After the ice was broken, she asked how the family was doing lately. Adam looked ay Melinda stunned, and couldn't help wondering where she has been all these years. The accident was all over the local newspapers. Asking the question about his family was though maybe she was talking about his brother and Mary. Thinking its probably her not knowing about the recent lose of their parents, but its been a while. Some people didn't care to bring up the awful past. If Melinda heard about the boat accident, Adam was waiting for the question to come up later.

Adam asked Melinda out for lunch, and Melinda; saying she was on her way over to the lobster shack anyway. She stopped by, and wanted ask if he would want to enjoy some company for a while. The two hit an old burning chemistry almost on the spot. They almost knew it at first sight, but the temptation was evident when  Adam and Melinda touched hands over a few drinks. The whole episode was planned right from the beginning, Melinda always used to chase Adam many years ago. Both of them had a constant obsession going on for each other back then. Off and on, they were going together for years until Adam became jealous, and trying to break up with Melinda was almost impossible. They eventually out grew  each other one year. After finding out everything between them would have been fine, until they started having sex. Melinda still always loved Adam, and knew one day he would eventually some day realize it too.

Melinda used to chase Adam many years ago, and seems things haven't changed very much over time. Today happened just like it always used to be. Melinda showing up, what seemed like a; just happened to be in the neighborhood act. After the pleasant surprise, Adam knew this time he is really ready to give in to her. Today just happened to be a lucky move on her part for him. While into several beers, Melinda mentioned that her parents were also gone. Adam understanding life has many changes in every way. The natural flow of events was messed up with both families, ever since their tragic loses.

There were more feelings Adam understood now more than ever imagined before. Bringing up old good times rounded off the long awaited things Melinda held inside, and Adam welcomed their conversation open hardheartedly. Their food was almost finished, and so was the talking about their past differences of earlier ways of thinking while they were too young to understand mature talking. The wrong reasons were what separated them long ago. Adam and Melinda had a lot of lost ground to make up for, and fill the void of missed time together. Maybe it was always meant to be, the two became an inseparable item. Never wanting to let go, and keeping each other very close was a hold over, in insecurity of not wanting to lose each other all over again. Adam soon moved in to be together with Melinda, it was Adam who suggested her place. Ironic that she still lived on the same street, in the same house. The very same road directly behind the bait and tackle shop oat the marina. The road which led to a dead end, never knew Melinda moved back to the area shortly after her parents  passed away. All those years, and neither one knew until that incidental day. Love is like itself sometimes, a living breathing thing. Love  comes into two peoples hearts just when they need it most. Melinda was out of Adam's mind for the longest time, now he believes she knew exactly what she was doing. Coming back to see him, and starting up all over again. Strange to men who know things woman do, remain a mystery to them. Tragedy strikes and everything becomes dark in one moment. All along hoping the day which will come that the pain will leave. The next moment, an awakening by having forgotten almost all about it. Its when a woman, that special person from a past life experience appears as if it were supposed to be so.

Being joined they soon realized, a pain by proxy can not last more than that day of recon. Only of course if; and only if a trouble maker doesn't keep the family grudge going on spite of the new relationships. Only one of their family members is out of control, and will try to get away with any chance he sees fit to meddle. Clyde, which has to act as if he were the victim here. Adam has already move in with Melinda to help make it more comfortable on Clyde. Any drama Clyde can inflict on the whole family, and never having any peace of mind of his own. Unless he is terrorizing to be sure and effect the ones who Clyde believes has done him some wrong in his senseless mind. Better days are coming for Adam and Mary. The trick is avoiding the terrible evil ways by the struggle in between them Clyde will undoubtedly try to cause. Never letting go of his bitter anger is too easy. Making everything harder has been the side Clyde takes, although it is rough on our family he has to be grown up now.

Mary tried helping Clyde as did Jake, and especially Adam Turner for the family sake. Adam and Jake were still committed on helping Clyde to better deal with coping with their struggle till the end. They did not know too much what caused his anger, but their sure its much the same way Mary believes. Clyde brought this on himself, and it was all on him to make it right for his well being. When they finally found Clyde dead by hanging himself. There was only one conclusion, he hung himself out of revenge of his own ideas as payback. Mary wished she could have swallowed up her younger brothers insane stupid pride. His pride throughout the years gave him nothing but loneliness, its what almost killed all of us. Jake, and Mary knew Clyde was a hopeless cause all those years. That he had too much hate, but they kept trying. Clyde never felt the love our family had for him. We  gave up on him often, but if not for his rotten outlook. We only wish if there were a way to take back one day. Then maybe there would never have been this suicide, maybe if we were to try and talk with Clyde, and show him sudden happiness. Clyde took his own life out of fear he was hated by all of us, which he really wasn't. Allan still thought, Clyde was the loneliest one of us all. Its too sad, a life never ends well for a person who lived their life making everyone miserable. If Clyde only knew his life was about to change for the better also. Going the way Clyde was taking, was not fair to the rest of us. Angered the bunch of us, who knew him most. Clyde stole a piece of everything our family ties stood for. A shameful way out, and Clyde never really knew how much we understood his pain.

Jake knew there was nothing wrong doing by going on a journey right after the funeral. We have to consider ourselves fortunate though. After, the four of you will forget about all this drama at the marina. The four of us are taking a get away from the marina after all. Adam,  Melinda Crowley, Mary, and Allan Kerns are better off hitting the islands on a voyage.

Its a long boat ride away from the marina, and a well deserved one after everything going on from bad to good, and better days are coming for us. Jake can hold down the fort on the off season for now. Adam asked Jake to come along, but he wanted to stay behind for some well deserved alone time to reflect while getting the marina prepared for the winter. Jake felt; we believe he wanted to remorse himself with grieving over all our lose, instead joining us on our pleasure journey. Its the way Jake was, being the oldest and feeling some what responsible. No one could blame Jake, he is a saint, and did all he could do. Being the stronger one, the brother who truly enjoyed being alone most of the time. Lucky for him our plans to leave for a while, couldn't have come at a worse time, but its what he wanted.

Another hurricane was brewing off shore again. Like old times; this one means business. Almost two years since that awful accident which turned our lives upside down. In between this and the time we spent wondering what really happened. Another mystery crossed our minds again. This could never happen twice with even danger in the picture. This boat has always been safe before, this will be an exciting hurricane party this year. The four of us headed out on the life raft and finally are getting away for time alone with ourselves. Two things were being forgotten, of not making the trip of a lifetime without the worries. We leave those behind us, and without worries anymore. We have plenty of plans for having fun, while thinking of the betters days ahead. The trip was in spite of just wanting to leave it all behind for a while. There is plenty of work to be done once their back. Imagine that the crew thought on their way out towards the break waters. A recreation of the four most happiest people on earth, on their way toward a wonderful voyage. On their way; little did they know. Something was on board which changed everything.

                            Forgotten Lost Marina

Something was on board that changed  course of their entire voyage. On the way to  their paradise get away, and nothing; not even a hurricane in their way past the break waters yet. Nothing but fair weather in their path, no rough waves, not a problem in the sea. Other than reaching an island past a few miles along a couple of sea caps, and tide surges of a mild storm behind the brewing. Nothing really unusual felt out of ordinary for the time of year. Its early in hurricane season, the mildest time of the pattern. Once they were down in the galley preparing mixed drinks, the four settled down and really started enjoying the sea. Mary mentioned she had the most strangest feeling of being watched. Mary felt this as soon as they were boarding the boat. Mary blew it off thinking it was just the memory of her parents, and it would soon pass once we had boat headed out. Mary accepted the though that they were being watched over, and took it as a good sign. Haunting, but a comfort knowing their well looked out for from above.  Is it luck perhaps would have it, they were indeed being watched over.

Right in the middle, and half way into their voyage. An itchy feeling can be true, which once Mary mentioned the eerie thought of eye's being over her. They could finally see the island coming closer into view unexpectedly. All four were over hearing themselves thinking this was impossible, because the islands were still hours away. When Mary spotted the first island, she mentioned ot to Allan, and Melinda but Adam was still stuck on over hearing her saying the scary feeling of being watched. Can it be true, Adam was sort of a believer in souls watching watching over the living. Although couldn't help thinking this can be a bad omen, that something might be going terribly wrong. Especially over Mary, because she was their parents favorite child. If or if not Mary was being watched over for protection by their family, this was a real scary thought something about being closer than they should be was no coincedence. The storm was behind them now. The boat narrowly escaped the worse end of the hurricane, so what could possibly go wrong. Mary could think what she wanted, Adam felt they were being covered by spirits. Mary had to agree, only because she is the one who brought it up regardless, and so far there weren't any problems.

An unbelievable chilling sense of knowing how this works out. All of their thoughts are on their parents again now.  Their boat might not withstand the storm by night time. Not being able to use the guiding system, and the motor blew out a fuse killing the engine. Adam couldn't explain the sudden engine failure, but only saying its up to us having to remember our way back.  Keeping calm was their only chance for survival. Melinda, and Allan were in charge of listening to the radio for any communication. Mary and Adam were on deck looking for any other boats out toward the reef. All of them are convinced, that after tonight, this boat will sink. As scared as it is, accepting it might be a real possibility. The four circled together in a group hug and prayed. The pump isn't working,  and the life raft is only half full with air. This is a trip protected by spirits from the deep blue sea, not above. Without fail we will make it there and back in good spirits if we keep calm. One of us isn't going to forget this night ever again. Jake is missing out on the storm of a life time. Not all of this was supposed to be perfect, but not this bad. If we come upon the island soon,we could hunker down until another bout arrive after the storm. If we make it, there will be coast guard every where. We will be fine says Adam, but first we have to ride the storm out tonight.

All four were talking while resting in the lower cabin of the galley. They hoped they would all agree everything will turn out all right. The four of them drank several cocktails to kill their nerves. It was Allan who took the situation into his own hands. He ended up to be the one who surfaced first. His idea which he alone would walk the deck for a safety check. Adam,Melinda, and Mary were fast asleep below, the drinks and the waves put them asleep. Their boating experience kicked in, which getting rest and saving energy while out to sea, always pays off while fighting the storm. Allan was still drinking his cocktails, and needed his alone time. Just sitting at the back end of the boat, thinking about what to do next. Allan thought perhaps if he could fill the life raft back up with more air. Allan wanted to surprise Mary, and knew this was not turning into the disaster they were afraid it was. Allan began blowing up the raft with huge breaths at a time. A strong wind took the raft over board, with Allan still hanging on to it. Early that morning, and no sign of Allan, and the radio still dead. Panic set in no matter how much Adam tried to keep calm,as if this were it. Mary figured out Allan would never be recovered. They were too far from the break waters and with a rough sea, his body would be pulled farther out under the rip tides.

The hurricane took a turn for the worse for the remaining time left while still drifting. By the looks of the sky, they were in line for a direct hit. The only thing to do was pull up anchor and keep drifting to try and ride it out below. The three just kept on drinking. The three were going to die. their boat was filling up with water and heavy hail. A fire from lightning started by the motors gasoline. It was going under fast, they feared the worse is finally over. When word finally reached back shore,it was way later in the week. Jake had not been seen at the marina all week either. The police went inside the bait shop, and found his dead body from an apparent overdose. They had no reason other than to rule it a suicide. The entire family had been wiped out in many way's too strange to understand why. Words could not describe whether a jinx, or just fate, or some kind of curse followed the Turner family. The town folk had all sort of rumor flying around. Some believe The turner's have done people so wrong, and Karma came to their minds. The sea takes countless lives in mysterious ways every day. For reasons unknown, but common sense proves once again. The Turner family had a death wish over their heads. The Turner family were considered as not known for their niceness. The rumors ended of course, and as the marina soon became a ghost town. The Turner family ended on two faithful stormy seasons. Once a thriving marina, now lost and forgotten forever. End of Story
