Blooming CygnetA Poem by Lyra CaiusA life of a young individual and his path to satisfaction.
I remember the days when I was still young.
A kid who's innocent. A child who dreamt of the future. A brat who's spoiled by loving parents. A little angel to a father. A little doll to a mother. The years that passed ever since birth. A toddler who loves to have fun. A whippersnapper in such situations. A descendant of the arts of talent. Oh the days of us back then. Back when we're still young, In the physical aspect of the people around us. Time never stops. It will always continue to pass. Sometimes you wished that you have the power to stop it. But there's no turning back. Years have passed even more. We started to form on our own. An adolescent who thinks on his own. A teen who sticks with his peers. A person who became a juvenile delinquent. A teen who just had her sweet sixteen. A teenybopper of such interests. A youngster who rebels in all sorts. A person who's stubborn in many ways. Parents would tend to question about us. Why do we act like this? What did you do to yourself? How far did you go this time? When are we going to listen to them? But not all of us are in common with that. There are people who are wise and critical thinkers. Follows by the rule. Makes the finest decisions that are best. Has ambitions to pursue the goals they wanted. And knowing the outcomes betweeen the good and the bad. In such ways, we are unique. Yet again, we can't stop time. Another couple of years passed again. We continue to progress. We became young adults. The ones that were known to be mature. Learned to behave properly. Thinks twice about decisions. Becoming more aware of the world today. We take responsibility of what's coming for us. We have to be ready for anything. The things we do for our benefit. One where we can do something in our life. Because someday, we'll be going out of our comfort zone. Going into the limelight of the world. Yet this starts to stress us even further. We tend to think over the edge. That sometimes to the point it already reached our limit. We have the thoughts of giving up life. But we shouldn't. Not in the way that hurts us, inside and out. Good things or bad, we should take it as an experience. A lesson for ourselves as we grow. Looking back on your road. You've come a long way to where you are right now. You see the waves and loops of your path. That it makes you question yourself; "Did I went through all that?" It's time that we go forward. Even further in that foggy path. And be ready what's waiting for us. Time passes in such a bliss. Like it was just a short breeze. Or every time you blink, everything starts to change. Like how we started as a child. To the young one who learns with curiosity. Grown up and ready for the future ahead. © 2015 Lyra Caius |
