This Distance...

This Distance...

A Poem by Jillian Alexis
"

somethin a lil diff for me..a lil raw...

"

miles of distance to sit and wonder,

question and ponder...

recite, repeat, shape and transform her

the question of whether to chance or forget,

to live not to regret

something that should be, could be, break and unhook thee

worth the fight? yeah only if its right

take a moment of silence to rewrite this...

wheres the invite into a heart, now that might be a start

right now its words and happy faces put to two different places

A relationship in question, now thats the suggestion

baby if you want me lets see some aggression

can you paint me a picture of what we could be, I wanna see what you see

through eyes of past lies and wasted breath

what f*****g felt like the edge of death

I think we've been here before, but not with eachother

I'll teach you if you show me, just how to be a decent lover

the future is ours, while the past is the past

tell me, am i moving too fast?

holy cow this was awesome. it has that perfect balance of class and raw emotion that i dig so much. the rhyme scheme wasn't forced and worked extremely well. same thing with the language, eloquent and flowed real well without seeming like too much, and the ending was pretty awesome. i really liked this, fantastic job. you're right' a little different but i like this new thing it works well. keep that s**t going yo.
