The Enchantress

The Enchantress

A Poem by Jijo Francis

It was late night as I saw this sparkle,
closing on me, glowing brighter.
I heard it hum a song, sweet n subtle,
Enchanting me as it reached me.

I felt this warmth, pure and soothing,
Opening my tired eyes and shut heart.
While puzzled and curious,
It froze my restless limbs.

This glowing eyes that mesmerized me,
called me, as it touched me.
It lit a fire in my soul,
As the shadows started haunting me.

A beauty that's unrivaled, so real,
That I lost my voice.
It kissed my cheek and smiled at me,
Then faded with my troubles n thoughts.

My enchantress, I seek you now,
You never meant to startle me.
Here I'm, love-struck,
Missing and aching a sight.
Come again, hold me tight,
Kiss me as we fade away.
