The Midnight Stroll

The Midnight Stroll

A Poem by Jijo Francis

The day was dying, as I left my door.
Feeling chilly, I mourned it's cause.
It spread some glitters, filled the sky.
Soon came the moon, it lit my path.

This midnight stroll to cheer my soul,
Was blessed with wind & melodies above.
I walked and I walked, feeling so light.
oh nothing bothered me, even death's trap.

It held my breath, it's finally here.
The journey's end, as nature's there.
I saw rivers and I saw mountains.
Heaven's gift for thou, blessed night.

The perfect sight, not to be hindered.
I soon left, rejoiced and bit sad.
Now back to my path, my old life.
Oh midnight stroll, you'll be remembered.

Great piece of work..! How a mundane stroll can be magical when the imaginations take their flight..!
"The perfect sight, not to be hindered." very well described the awe of the moment.
Enjoyed it!
