Crippled

Crippled

A Poem by James H. Young

Crippled life

Crippled mind

Crippled heart

Whishing for the fresh air

Just another time

Feeling life with out her, just isn’t fair

And just another crime

Crippled life

Crippled mind

Crippled heart

Missing the touch of her

Forming with my body in away of lust

Just like a brand new fur

Knowing she was the one to trust

Crippled life

Crippled mind

Crippled heart

The good times we shared

With friends

Knowing that I cared

Losing just hurts

Crippled life

Crippled mind

Crippled heart

Going on a date

Thinking of the moment

It was just fate

A feeling of atonement

Crippled life

Crippled mind

Crippled heart

My heart in a jail

Just behind the bars

Whishing someone would pay bail

Because there will never be a love like ours.

What I enjoyed here is the almost musical structure, the high tempo refrain and the sparse, bare verses with an almost bitter emotional content, good work.
