a dreamer's story

a dreamer's story

A Poem by jhumur

The dreamer

Who is a dreamer?

One who sleeps and thinks deep in his subconscious mind

Who conquers the impossible therein

And expects victory at his blanket covered skin

Who is a dreamer?

Who rebels against the fear of the mob

By being silent in his cold shrivel nights

The blood boils with the excesses of frustration

And he finds the energy enough to stand alone

And shrieks forever… in his never ending screams

Who is a dreamer?

One who always applauded the success of others

And cursed every time his soul

For not making it to one

Driven by the ill-fated clock

But behind the eyes

Even the richest of rich were short

He kills shadows in absence of light

And believes it...That no one is there

To stop him…To screw him

Who is a dreamer?

A poet whose fingers tap the broken cap of pen

Empty looks towards the thick pages of thesis

At one side of projector the colors remind of snow and hills

He curses the heart everyday for choosing her over him!

Thinks being a dreamer is the toughest job in world

All you can expect is to suffer, but there is no one to blame!!
