SearchingA Poem by Matt Hope
I look past the stone you’ve become,
looking for a fleshly spirit but I find none, I scream come alive, but you don’t budge, I trudge under the sun, howl in tears under the moon, but still I can’t find you, falling asleep I travel my dreams into nightmares, tearing into night terrors,
Where are you? You left your body beside me, and I think it’s on auto pilot because every once in awhile it blinks and mechanically says” I love you ” So I continue my search in hopes that one day I’ll find you again, Hold you in my arms and ask, where have you been? I’ve looked everywhere. © 2015 Matt HopeReviews
