Come What MayA Poem by Matt HopeA poem I wrote shortly after my wife and I went through some tough times.Come What May
Our love is a house built on a rock, The floods came but fall it did not, The winds blew beyond measure, but Still it stands stronger than ever, Through the blistering weather, of thunderous roars, Rain pouring full force, Through earthquakes shaking the land, Desert storms of sand it stands, Through tornadoes and hurricanes, Volcanoes erupting a fiery blaze, Blizzards of white haze, The foundation, still it lays, After every storm comes a beautiful day, There would be no flowers if there were no rain, And there would be no joy if there were no pain, So through these storms of life we grow stronger each day, And With us planted upon the rock, I must say, We stand firmly in faith, so come what may. © 2015 Matt Hope |
