Love

 

Stay here.

Don’t leave.

I love you.

Simple, joyous and fun

Words that make me like you.

I see your eyes light

Whenever you smile

I study your eyes

When you tell me lies

I frequently ask,

‘Do I deserve you?’

 

I knew my life is complete

When I’m with you

But should I be with you?

Should I stay with you?

I knew I can’t live without you.

Stay here.

Don’t go.

I’ll miss your loving lips

 

At night, I sleep

My dreams filled with joy and laughter

I always want to go after.

I heard myself whisper,

‘I can’t live without you,’

I hear your heart

Whenever you touch your lips to mine,

My heart jumped,

Trying to escape from my chest

 

You were the greatest treasure I received

That’s when I knew

I truly love you

I knew love chooses no one

And gladly as I receive you

I never rejected the gift

 

Your eyes stared at mine,

And slowly

I closed my eyes

As your lips searched mine

oh.. this is a difficult word to express but you did well.

I love how you don't stick to one definate tempo... It makes it more unprofessional and yet more professional in a differant way... I know that didn't make sense but the poem is about love and love doesn't have to make sense.

Your friend must be really privileged to be written for. :) I can say you encapsulated it well. There wasn't any frill, just raw emotion. What I could say for the technicals is insignificant. But I do suggest that you use a certain rhyme scheme and not rhyme in random. Hehe. The flow is good though.

I love this quote! I don't know how many relationships I have seen split or continue on to a disasterous marriage due to lack of communication. You poem has power to it that makes one think about their relationships, past and present. And although I am sure this isn't where you intended to take me, it made me think about people in abusive relationships, who stay because they love, and are told that they are loved in return... hmm.
