Thank You

A great poem for my dearest parents and whom I treated as my parents(my aunts and uncles). A big THANK YOU for all. Stay STRONG and may GOD BLESS you all. :)

Thank You

I’m just a child with big dreams.

You’ve made me strong and at the same time happy.

I hear your laughs then I ran to you

And you hugged me like no one ever hugged me before.

I never knew you treat me very special

But then I forgot to say Thank You.

 

You’ve been my inspiration since I started living.

And even now, I never lose that track of thinking.

Seeing you every day,

Always makes me want to stay.

I always cry when you leave me at school.

It’s like I’m bound to be always with you.

You hugged me tight till I fall asleep

And yet, I forgot to say Thank You.

 

You work abroad for our own good

And you’re not here to see what I made.

Whenever it’s Sunday and we’re at the Church,

I always pray that we are stronger and safe.

I know God would listen to my prayer.

But still something was unsaid.

Thank You was still ahead.

 

I know I’m still young

And like many things in life.

I know you’ll do anything for me to have it

And yet something was still unsaid.

I grew up not so perfect

And still, you loved me like I’m whole.

 

So, now, as I wrote down this poem,

You’re deep inside in my heart

Being my inspiration as I start.

I knew it was hard to say,

So I wrote it for it’s easier to say

And express my feelings that I haven’t said.

As I finish this wonderful gift,

A gift that only a daughter can give,

I know this is my chance.

THANK YOU MOM and DAD

For loving me and being your inspiration.

Great tribute of thanks to a person's parents and family.. this felt sentimental.. and in that place of your heart this can never be wrong in free flow.. you can really feel this is genuine in thanks.. as well as a very strong bond with them and in spirituality.. your heart really shines through in this!

This is a very cute concept.
But the writing is awkward and forced, it feels like you're in middle school. Is english your first language? It doesn't seem like it because I know my mother has the same problem.You seem like you would be a good writer in another language, if you are perhaps you should try poetry in that language, then translate. That usually works better than bursting your brain. Infact, some of my favourite poetry is french, and it's beautiful.
