Distant Memories

More of a song. Written a few years ago.

I thought I found my angel

That woman of my dreams

Standing there beside me

Beautiful as can be

no matter how it looked to me

Nothing is ever what it seems

We both had broken hearts

But she was the one for me

 

I’ve been searching high

And searching low

Wondering where the broken go

And if I find her, would she want me

Or will she always be a shadow

I’ve watched her cry and for a little while

I thought that she’d see me
