Pieces

Pieces

A Poem by Shon Harvis

The pieces, they lay scattered at my feet
The remaining shards of another loves defeat
piece by piece I bring them in
recutting and bleeding
as I try to mend
her smile still burns me
as she walks with grace
I stand alone
beside her empty place
I dream.....
I scream....
a hollow shell echoing inside
over and over this won't subside

This poem is amazing...I cant even put to words...
its Shows someone who has been there and seen the horror and mind testing truthfulness that comes with love
