Shadows Fade

They Always do

Silently through the doorway

That led me straight to you

 

With echoes of how you feel

And the words they seem so real

You as I, felt it too

chasing a dream I almost flew

 

You used to smile

when I looked at you

through our eyes 

something no one knew

 

shall we chase the burning wheel
of emotions and how we feel

now setting fire to paper wings

crashing down as emotion sings

 

Shadows fade

they always do

choices made in this story

that let me dance with you

I loved your semi random rhyme here. It made the poem flow, but at the same time made it a little edgy and different. And perhaps I'm thinking too much, but when you repeated the like "Shadows Fade/They Always do" in the last stanza and didn't capitalise anything, that spoke out to me more than any words could possibly have.
