Missing You

This is a poem/song I wrote about loving a woman who wasn't available. We shared a moment and that is my last memory of her.

You got me lying here

 trying to figure this out

how could we seem so right

 only to feel it come crashing down?

Baby, we made love

 and you laid upon my chest

Didn't we both feel it

 wasn't that moment like the rest?

I was content

 on just being friends

Did we have to do it?

 Did we have to cross that line?

I am so crazy about you

now I can't get you off my mind

 

 

You had me excited

 then you said you wanted to work it out

I knew in that moment

 it wasn't me you were talking about

You say you're sorry baby

 and I am trying to understand 

I just had my heart beating baby

 with the thought of being your man

I was content

 on just being friends

Did we have to do it?

 Did we have to cross that line?

I am so crazy about you

now I can't get you off my mind

 

 

Now I am missing you baby

 while you are lying with him

I was content

 but we did it

We became more than friends

 now I have to miss you

Did making love bring our end

Why did we do it?

Wow this sounds like it could be a song. Very sad
If I was to add my own opinions I would work at expanding the vocabulary on this
