ImaginationA Poem by Jessica GreenImagination is the root of
all things, Without it the mind ceases
to be. It is the farthest depths
of human capability. Oceans of pure blue glass, Scattered aimlessly,
fragmented moments latched onto Cocoons of unrelated
shards. Shards that mirror the
pinnacle of one’s existence, Some masked, Some seeked, Some left to lay untouched
in the midst of the mind, The fear of stepping on
imagination is too unbearable to think. Some fail to walk on, The fear of feet touching
the splinters of broken dreams, Yet some waltz across it
with limitless spontaneity. The imagination is a
distorted reflection of a soul’s identity, It has no burdens, no
attachments, Merely lingers, until one
abandons logic, And sees through the
barrier, until ecstasy. © 2012 Jessica Green |
