Enough?

Enough?

A Poem by StoriesGuy14

5 questions seeking answers to which there may be no valid responses

"
The reality of making money fills his eyes
His professional, obligatory purpose--
The tone emitting from those vocal chords
Is one of direct shrewdness: strictly business--
Little to no concern for others' opinions or feelings
About any of it--
Under his watch and auspices
You serve him and his professional mandates--
Relentless time to a single purpose--
The others have their versions
Of the same calling, of course--
They are variations of him.
Subordinates have their views,
Matching or not matching his own.
Both are irrelevant.
Every, single little thing
Is an attempt
To produce
The one thing causing the doors to open and close--

And for what purpose?
Livelihoods?
More exchanges?
More attempts to create systems?
All--for what?

When is enough...enough?

even in general terms, how can the diction be improved?

About
Been writing since I was a teenage kid. Somehow, someway just picked up a notebook, found a pen, started writing things and have never really stopped. It's a passion, hobby, ongoing cerebral grind, an.. more..
