Second Guessing

Second Guessing

A Poem by JB Murray
"

For the Jupiter Ten contest... basically a look within

"

Seeing the threads

This verdict of solitude

And questioning this life

The choices of one man

Doubled over with worry

With sorries, regrets

Following my shadow

I affect only dreams

Those things that linger in night

Approaching a reluctant dawn

In the haze of promises and yesterdays

Will I oblige myself?

This one happy moment

And forgive myself these sins

This attitude of basic human nature

I always enjoy these contests... give me ten words, and just let the poem unfold as if it were already written somewhere and I'm just plucking it from thin air... hope you enjoy

we all second guess ourselves but what the heck grab life by the horns and live like theirs no tomorrow

If second guesses were dollars we would all be rich huh? We just hope to learn from out endeavors and hope to make our first guesses better planned.
