This SicknessA Poem by JB MurrayContest Peom...THIS SICKNESS By: JB Murray © July 2010 And so Chaos ensues Every time I close these eyes Lurking in the depths Of my soul if only I had one It seeks it Triumph It never hesitates to ponder To question Insatiable It tears at the seams Symbolic in nature These gestures I make Some feeble attempt to calm Its ever-biting teeth It gnaws And snarls Consuming my Sadness An ever-present scavenger Picking at the flesh I wait for some Signal Some amiable sign An end to this madness So far from freedom Yet so close to death… © 2010 JB MurrayAuthor's Note
