THE WINDOW

By: JB Murray © May 2010

THE LEAVES ARE FALLING AGAIN

ONE BY ONE

A FLUTTERING OF CONCIOUSNESS

IDEAS GONE BAD

ROTTING AWAY FROM THE CONCEPTUAL TREE

FLOATING ON A STOLID BREEZE

ALMOST RELUCTANT TO LAND

RELUCTANT TO FADE AWAY

THEY HANG ON THE WIND

GASPING FOR BREATH

FEARING THAT WHICH THEY CANNOT CHANGE

THAT WE ARE ONLY LEAVES

FALLING TO OUR END

WHILE WE STARE THROUGH MUDDIED PANES

HUNG ON RUSTY FRAMES

THESE WINDOWS OF OUR LIFE

I like this alot. Life is how you say it......it is what it is.......and in the end everyone has the same fate no matter how many times you try to change your destiny.

I like the comparison of humans -> death to leaves -> falling to the ground. Trying to catch the wind when your fate is inevitable. The last three lines got a bit abstract for my taste. I suppose I understood what you were trying to get at, but the way you said it left me confused.
Overall, it's good.
