INKA Poem by JB MurrayInspired by Alz Alz' Poem titled Black and White Sadness... so make sure you check it out!INK By: JB Murray © Feb 2010 Sitting here Black steaming coffee fogging up my glasses I wipe them clean I turn the page The paper wrinkles And I snap it back into place Leaning back I laugh heartily Look at that I think He beat his wife into oblivion Used a hammer to finish her off What a great day Turn the page Just a giggle I guess what’s a few more trillion It’s only my hard earned money At least they have a plan to spend it Shake my head Turn the page Laughing hysterically Wild fire ripping through Several blocks gone Hundreds of homes No way to contain it Now that is funny Another war God I am laughing And I can’t stop My stomach hurts All those little charred bodies Hungry and beaten Skeletons with skin lying by the road How can you not crack a smile Turn the page And then I start to cry It comes on slow at first Just a trickle Before my chest starts heaving And I am vocalizing my pain for all the world to hear There’s no way to contain it How could you not © 2010 JB MurrayAuthor's Note
