Hollowed-Out Soul

A quick little number, about life and death...

HOLLOWED-OUT SOUL
By: JB Murray © Dec 2009

In a hollowed-out soul
The more lies we tell
The closer we get to the truth
A dimming light bulb
The coils leaking
And so we jump from the bridge
But there is no floating
Not here, not ever
The air shares nothing with us
Passes swiftly
Echoes in our ears
Making love like strangers
