YOUR SOUL FOR A WORD…
By: JB Murray © nov 2009
It sits there
Wanting, waiting
Not quite hidden
A breathe on ice
Of foggy memories
And ideas soon realized
It whispers and purrs
Begging, relenting
Not quite humble
A scratch on the surface
The smooth, glassy thoughts
But never a promise
It cries out loud
Needing, consuming
Not quite subtle
A thunderous cantor
A long lost abandoned song
Spreading like cancer
It sleeps and struggles
Tossing, turning
Not quite restful
A lurking phantom of circumstance
All the ghosts unleashed
These are our dreams unbalanced
