It was there in the silence

I heard such a sound

One lonely heart beating

To this I was bound

 

The fear in the air

The worries and doubts

Of two broken hearts

Searching one out

 

The warmth of your body

The scent of your hair

A tender caress

A soft, subtle stare

 

Your ever sweet lips

And the taste of your skin

Old memories forgotten

When true love begins

 

No the stars did not listen

The night won’t forsake

The sound in the silence

That loving you makes

I'm always confused when I see a good poem such as this with hardly any reviews. This is a good poem. Love is not always easy to find and when we do find it, care and affection need to be taken. Nice rhymes in this, they flow well with the alliteration.
