Nature's Symphony

Nature's Symphony

A Poem by Kallima
"

Do you like wind chimes too?

As I lay here on this blustery night,

With blankets 'round me wrapped tight,

The South Wind treats me to an audio delight.

Wind chimes stationed all around the yard,

Being called into play without regard

For key or harmony, like music blasting from an angel's trumpet heard from afar.

A virtual symphony being played just for me

As night's wind jets through the trees,

Beautiful sound for the ears, nothing you can see except the image of what God is making happen in these woodland seas.

Roosting birds play silent witness

And turn a blind eye as branches exchange kisses

Swaying...... and swaying..... and dancing to nature's mounting advances.

As the wind picks up pace; it seems as if a race,

A contest has begun and none can loose face,

Twas a delight right from the start, every stanza keeping pace.

Tunes emerge from Germany; strong and proud,

Chords ringing long, chords ringing loud

Bringing visions of fields draped in white flowers, fragrant breezes sweet to my senses, wafting across blue skies with billowy clouds.

Chimes bring songs of the Japanese

And memories of the beautifully blossomed cherry trees.

As tears well up in my eyes, I begin to realize; if I were not wrapped tight in bed I would be brought to me knees.

With God as conductor and author of the score,

I can hardly wait for more.

The tempo keeps up as if with my anticipation, the South Wind daring to further explore.

This musical collaboration is so far beyond my expectation

Has given me such relaxation

And as quickly as it started..... it stopped.

Without hesitation.

This spontaneous night of music was such a dose of reality,

There was no one around as a witness... just me

And I wouldn't have it any other way, it was meant to be.

You see, God had given a gift to me,

Nature's Symphony.

The sharp, descriptive detail you use to describe the elements of nature as a comparison to music is very smooth and artistically well-crafted. The comparisons are smooth, sound, and actually very mellow and flawlessly articulated. Well Done.

This brings out such emotion in my congrats because this is a great write. It really lays your emotions out on the table which is very hard to do in many cases. Great job I look forward to reading more.
