Nature and Control

Nature and Control

A by Jay M. Jones

"People fear what they cannot control, and attempt to control the things they fear most. It is basic human nature to attempt to lasso the beast before the beast can become a threat. There is no force in nature that can be binded perpetually, so when it is within your power to affect nature..do so with respect and dignity. Do so positively. Nature always remembers....."

"People fear what they cannot control, and attempt to control the things they fear most.”

The first line really caught my attention. Maybe because I am always drawn to the observation of human nature. Yeah, I believe that you are hitting a good – really good points here.

Now I asked myself why do we do such thing. Perhaps it’s our defense mechanism, or our instinct taking control or our mind is doing its smart move, or some do it for fun or for the pleasure to be on top.

I guess there are many possibilities to take note.

They say fear is a matter of choice. Fear is already formatted in our nature. It’s either you nurture it and fear many things or you take control – living the best to be fearless.

Taking control depends on the threat you perceived. Like this piece is trying to say – we can’t avoid fear, and in doing to overcome it – we take charge and tame the beast – doing it with respect and dignity…with all that you are right.

But in the dark side of our human nature – some take control too much that they disrupt the natural cycle of things. Sometime when a certain animal or thing feared you the most, sometime you do foolish things to eradicate all that you’ve feared. That is not right, in overcoming fear erasing or eradication is not always the case, sometime knowing is important – when to avoid and when to control. Also sometimes you can’t completely tame what you fear, most of the time avoidance is simply the best not to overly complicate things, but then again that’s depends on the situation..

Now thinking back to all I have just thought about this piece. I guess fear itself is still a very complex emotions. It has a lot of triggers and a lot of possible answers and control over it. Finding the voice of reasonable perception to answer all of this fear might do its job. the voice of reasonable perception is very cautious in many things and careful cause and effect in everything you do.

I say this piece really provokes my thoughts.
Short yet profound.
This goes to my library.
