Copper, Iron, and Irony

Copper, Iron, and Irony

A Poem by Jay M. Jones

Copper, Iron, and Irony

We're all just f****n' crabs in a barrell.
Stopping each other from reaching our goals
obstacles to true freedom.
because really, no one is free.
No one, and nothing.
We catch glimpses of this foreign concept
from movies, and T.V. Books, and magezines.
"Freedom"
The statue of f****n' liberty,
just standing out there in the middle of the harbor.
she looks so cold and alone out there,
If she could think, the irony would make her vomit.
To stand up for "freedom", unable to move.
