Sleep a dream

Sleep a dream

A Poem by Jeyanthi
"

Thoughts ...

"
Every dream is a child,
don't constantly feed
mercilessly with
past regrets sorrows
the flown time
unbearable made decisions
tears and pains
forgotten wishes and wills.
Come out of depression,
Its a pit.
"It's darkness here".
Yes you see darkness,
be thankful for
SEEING.
And that's the way out
from darkness and
sleep to
dream again.

Lovely use of metaphor in this finely penned poem. In order to appreciate the light, we must first experience the darkness. In darkness, the light is still there, we just don't see it. It's like knowing the stars are there during the day, but we can't see them until evening time and darkness envelops the land. Sometimes our dreams are better than our reality, but we can't continue to sleep, we must wake up and get on with our life or it will pass us by in the blink of an eye. Great play with words, dear Jeyanthi. Excellent inking! Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed reading this insightful and thought provoking poem...

The metaphor of dreams as children and the pit of depression is powerful and evocative. It's a hopeful message that reminds us to embrace the future with gratitude and positivity.

Very hopeful lines dear. Like a kind friend holding hands of another leading her from a dark room to the room with light. It may seem simple but reinforcing positivity is the first step and a sustained way to come out of any negative space. To see the dark and then will be able to dream and then see light into the day. Its a process you describe sweetly in your poem dear Jeyanthi.

In our minds eye we can always see no matter what blinds us in life. I think quite a popular writer once said "to sleep perchance to dream!"

I suppose this too is the wisdom of life. As always Jey have a great day.
And the dream will find its purpose just as a child will grow and find his or her way...
from sleep to waking fulfilled.
