I’m reading on the dim light,
as evenings are quite,
the thud,
a sound,
the dangling fluffy tail,
meets my loneliness trail,
a brief of squeaking,
and a lot of gnawing,
a little squirrel,
has a great deal,
seeing it as a nut cracker,
a lesson given, me the taker.
A lovely poem about meeting up with your dog in the evening, dear Jeyanthi. A nice relaxed evening reading and your little dog comes along to keep you company and for treats! He is teaching you that you are not alone, that he is there with you to keep you company. That is a lovely, enriching lesson to learn, dear Jeyanthi. Lovely work, dear. Thank you for sharing...

We had very bad flooding in town last Saturday. One hundred families were evacuated when our beautiful river burst its banks. The centre of town was impassable thanks to Storm Bert. I hope you don't have a tsunami, dear Jeyanthi. I hope all goes well with your monsoon season too, dear friend... Take very good care of you, keep safe and well...
What a clever way to illustrate the value of hard work, Jeyanthi! I love how you compared the focus and perseverance of a "nutcracker" to the effort needed to crack exams. The imagery of the tiny creature working diligently under dim light captures the essence of hard work and determination. It’s a reminder that even the smallest actions, when done with dedication, can lead to great outcomes. Thank you for sharing such an insightful and creative poem!
