It's drizzling.
The pitter patter on the roof.
The tiny tiny drops on the road.
The chillness touching the bone.
It starts raining.
I'm waiting for the thunder
to strike the inspiration.
But that not happen.
Does the clouds mourning?
Taking away the little hope along.
Paper boats, paper cranes and a wishful thinking folded inside paper stars of a glass jar.
Passes in the air.
Down the arc of
the rainbow.
You capture a cool evening misted with drizzle so finely in this lovely poem, Jeyanthi. Then metaphor is added to tell the reader that inspiration is lacking. The rainbow will return hope and bring inspiration back home with it. Lovely write which I so enjoyed reading. Thank you for sharing, Jeyanthi...

I love the rain to a point. This poem conveys a sense of gray and a feel of humidity where it is better to stay inside than out. Very nicely written

🙂 thank you dear Sir..
We are wetted after storms, hopeful after rainbows.
An amazing and inspirational poem. There is a reason thunder comes after lightning

These days we're getting plenty little rainfalls, and I am enjoying the coldness, and sometimes the lightning strikes inspiration for me, since I love the skies, rain and everything in space.
Very nice little poem, thanks for sharing.

I really felt the rain reading your poem Jeyanthi. Through its sounds and feel of wetness. Does thunder remind you of old horror stories we would bunch up to tell or does it cozy you to write romance. The rainbow and paper boats inside glass jar waiting andhoping to get out in the rain just like you… Enjoyed the hopeful rainy poem my dear.

Rainy thunder but with no current and no tv we line up with too many stories on own 😅...
I just had a flashback of paper boats in puddles from childhood. But I wasn't happy with just a puddle, so went about building the bestestest paper boat ever, with doodles of those sharks teeth designs you see on American helicopters, (which I can only assume are meant to scare people more than the bombs they drop) and go on an adventure to the nearby boating pond.
It all went well, right up until some kid who wasn't looking sank it with his rowing oar and that is where my adventure ended. But I have always been fascinated by puddles since. The way reflections dance in them when it is still raining and I was mesmerised by them more than a few times when I used to drive, watching the traffic lights change from red yo Amber to green in the puddles reflections and completely forgetting that green meant go! 😃

Wonderful memories to recall... yeah anything with water is capable of danger... we were going to native places often, but used been near only on steps placed near the pond, they say " there can be crocodile"...
Hope you go where want to go not facilitated by the light reflection while on the go... 😀
Have a nice day!!
Thank you.... Lorry (sir)
