Talk of the tree

Talk of the tree

A Poem by Jeyanthi
"

Nature, changes

"
The grand show is over,

the leaves bidding goodbye.

One can enjoy treasures,

but can't hold

so long.

I'm home to many

and any.

Now standing alone,

but not lonely,

turning on the memories,

and dancing in the rain.

Cold and breeze,

Sunny or windy,

teases me,

harrases me.

But I'm hardened.

Snowfall day and night,

the pain I gain,

are the strength

I make.

Once spring back home,

I'm the surviver of hope,

You, reclaim the promises.

I liked the above lines. The cold days of Winter make the warm days of Spring more wonderful. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

You have portrayed beautiful metaphors between life and nature dear Jeyanthi . I am particularly drawn to foliage especially in the fall with the grand show of change of colours and the transition from summer heat to coziness and drama of the changing hues of sky lights. Its so true how we then wait for the spring just as we wait for our results after the hardwork. Getting time to be alone, being hopeful but not lonely is such a treasure, and exprerincing your strength in the company of self ..deep and lines Jeyanthi
Surviving the journey is so important to enjoy all the seasons of sorrow , happiness, flowers and fruits . This season in this part of the world its called herfst seizoen and it is just as scenic as is the comparison in your poetry.
Great share ,lovesss

I really like this poem a lot. I like the way you used the seasons to show the speaker's strength...
surviving life...and becoming hardened....we do as we age...if we don't, it is curtains.

Thank you 😊... finding positive in every situation is really hard, but still worth a try.
Those are lovely words, and do indeed flow freely.! It seems spontaneously written, but that might just be down to how it flows quite naturally. The backdrop of being in nature, outdoors; and your responses are pleasant to reflect upon. I got the impression that these emotions, are genuine ones; which you have experienced at different times? It brings up a few more difficult emotions too, particularly near the end; because they're equally essential to recognise as important in our lives. Quite nice too, how you associated the return of Spring time with hope.
