AzureA Poem by jexpart three of the new version of the Colors series
I never knew what love was until I saw her eyes,
Beautiful azure globes that seem to be the portal to eternity, And I was the lucky one she fell in love with Through the years our love grew stronger, As we quickly grew closer and closer, Almost as if our love was a hideous larva slowly turning into a butterfly On my dying day I kissed her goodnight and farewell, A lasting goodbye fit for soulmates In the afterlife I suffered a million tortures, None as horrible as the knowledge that I was causing her such horrible pain, And knew that nothing I could do would fix it Eternities seemed to pass, As day by day I saw her slowly drain away, So lifeless and grief stricken Then I finally made a deal with the devil, I finally gave him everything he wanted, Just so I could spend my life with her On the day the fire scorched the sky, I became hers again, But at a cost that I realized was far too horrendous Each and every single day, I saw her slowly drain away, And prayed she would heal both emotionally and physically All my prayers were in vein, For no god would ever accept the prayers of a damned man In desperation I called upon him, The soul stealer, To change my bargain Alas, A soul stealer will never refund a transaction Oh spirits and entities, What have I done?
