The Edge Of The Abyss

I'm not really sure what genre this is, or whether it's a song or a poem. I just emptied my mind out yesterday and that's the result.

Here we are, 
Beaten and scarred, 
Screaming silently to invisible enemies 

Battered and broken, 
Our minds we open, 
As one by one we die 

Here I stand, 
Holding your hand, 
Waiting at the edge of the abyss 

One more day, 
i ask for as our minds begin to stray, 
Breaking down as the needles begin to dig in 

Tired and broken, 
Our mouths had silently spoken, 
Of all these deathly fears 

With you my love, 
I push for and I shove, 
Vainly fighting back invisible demons 

Drugged and mindless, 
Our bodies go lifelessly, 
We become the drones of uncertainty. 

Here I stand, 
Holding your hand, 
Standing here with you at the edge of the abyss 

Frozen and silent, 
As our enemies grow more violent, 
Standing here with you at the edge of the abyss

You emptied your mind well into this poem... i really like this a lot. I love these lines:
