Liquid crystals shattered on the ground,
As I looked up,
Hoping to see you there

The trees slowly swayed in the wind,
While the grass whispered softly,
And the stars poked holes in the sky

The summer night was calm and warm
As I remembered you,
And what you meant to me

Each of these nights,
I look up,
Hoping to see you there

To say the least,
I miss you,
From down here

I hope one night,
When I look up,
