![]() ForewarningA Poem by jexFor all you who are full, Thirst for life long since quenched And for all empty and cold, Lost in depression and grief A warning of fair caution and true consequences, For life is full and empty of both danger and delight As all good and bad always intertwine, And are separate at the same time Due to fair angelic consent, And against demonic corrupting intent, This caution is intended to save a life Yours hopefully Trust none other than yourself the most, For pure minds do not deceive pure hearts, And those wicked minds only pay the devil’s due For those purely happy, sad, angry, and hateful, Never keep your heart forever locked And avoid unnecessary negative perception that originates from your peers, As allowing ridicule into your life is its own weakness At times of tragedy and doubt, Light the fires of your mind, And pour sweet sorrow on to page after page, Unleashing emotion into the hearts of the innocent Those guilty and mischievous, Beware the end days, When evil intent is crushed in the grip of gods, And good wishes rewarded by nirvana Life will hold you close and rip you apart, No matter what choices you make along the line, No matter who you are or where you came from The end result of life is often the same as its origin, A rough start finishes as a rough finish, A good beginning ends with peaceful death Though only when it is different for does it bear true spiritual fruit To not care about others is to not be human, While to care too much is to be too human, The middle ground between both is needed to be emotionally healthy In final conclusion Trust only what you wish to trust, Not what you need to trust Lie when lies are needed, Not when they are wanted Hate as only when it is natural, Not when it is necessary Love when its fleeting moments arrive, Not when you feel it should arrive Give only for the sake of giving, Not for the sake of expecting Live in the way that you wish to die, Not in the way you think you should die © 2009 jex |
