Looks like you made it
as much as you could
looks like the end
is much closer to us

 

I wish I could
be the one to say
that I was there

time slows down
trying to relax
letting your embrace
calm me down
letting your embrace
slow me down

 

I loved you as much
as any foolish man

I wanted you as much
as anyone would have

it may take forever
just to clear this up
it may take forever
for you to remember
what it was like

 

I just wish I could be
the one you still knew
I just wish that this
would just go away

 

trying to hold on
to the ghosts of these memories
trying to remember
what you used to be like

 

I could just live forever
in these sweet memories
I could just live like this
in this picture of the past

 

trying to get through
to you but you say
that everything dies
including what we used to have

 

trying to hold on
to something I can't have

trying to remember
what it was like to be
the one who has something
no one else has

 

looks like it's just
too late to hang on
looks like it's going to be
the one thing left

 

I'm just giving up
on everything I knew

on the memories of how it was
I'm just going to keep it
as it is
